When we asked RNs in one Cardiac Care Unit to identify problems that hindered IDEAL PATIENT CARE, a cumbersome procedure for administering atropine to patients in bradycardia came to the fore. The Adaptive Design process diagnosed and solved the problem.
Creating an efficient, effective, low-cost toolbox for bradycardia events was just one of 18 problems this CCU unit diagnosed and cured in the first 10 weeks of problem-solving through Adaptive Design. By solving immediate problems, nurses simplified their work and created more time for patients.
